2017 BSCB-BSDB-Genetics Society Spring Meeting

2nd-5th April 2017, University of Warwick

Our Annual Spring Meeting for 2017 is held jointly with the British Society for Developmental Biology (BSDB) and the Genetics Society. Registration and abstract submission opens later in 2016.

This conference is our flagship event for 2017 and provides a unique forum to network and socialise with a wide cross-section of the Genetics, Cell and Developmental Biology community.

The meeting features plenary and parallel sessions, with an outstanding line up of speakers from around the world. This year’s BSDB and BSCB plenary lectures will be presented by Bonnie Bassler and Xiaowei Zhuang. The Genetics Society will have two plenary lectures, one by Marisa Bartolomei (Genetics Society Medal Lecture) and David Baulcombe (Mendel Medal Lecture).

The meeting also includes the BSCB Hooke Medal, BSDB Waddington Medal, BSCB Women in Cell Biology, BSDB Cheryll Tickle Award and BSDB Beddington Prize lectures. We have a dedicated early career symposium and workshop events which are organised by postdoc and student representatives of our three societies. The meeting includes several well-attended, lively and stimulating poster sessions and social events (including the now infamous annual “Pub Quiz”).

The 2017 Spring Conference is expected to attract 400+ delegates, ranging from seasoned leaders in the field to first year graduate students attending the meeting for the first time.
